Difference Between Plastic and Wooden Toys

It's a fact that most plastic toys are cheaply made and as such they can easily break off, leaving behind small parts and sharp edges that can hurt children. On the other hand, you can find quality kids wooden toys online which are sturdier and more durable by comparison.

As a result, there's less risk that the children can break the toy and get scratched or swallow a piece. And while these toys may be more expensive than plastic ones, they often can last for many years and even get passed down different generations of kids. As a result, you can save more money and create a cherished family heirloom.

Most plastic toys do not leave much room for open-ended, imaginative play like in nursery play kitchens. They can produce their own sounds and move on their own trajectory. As a result, children often become observers instead of actively participating in the play.

However, this is not the case with wooden toys. Wooden toys are much simpler in design, which motivates children to start imagining and enacting actions that the toys cannot produce on their own. As a result, the child gets to use more of its creativity which can help with brain development and problem-solving skills.
